Disaster Case Management
We help residents navigate recovery by connecting them to existing services and identifying unmet needs, especially those who may not know where to turn.
Volunteer & Construction Coordination
We work with local nonprofits and volunteers to organize home repairs, cleanup, and rebuilding efforts, prioritizing low-income and vulnerable households.
Community Engagement & Healing
We listen first. From community centers in the outer pockets of the county to county-wide gatherings like our One Year of Healing event, we strive to meet people where they are and bring everyone into the recovery process.
Economic Recovery & Small Business Support
We recognize that the health of our economy is essential to full community recovery. In partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and local business leaders, we support impacted small businesses, advocate for equitable economic revitalization, and help ensure that local employers and workers are part of the long-term recovery process.
Fundraising & Grant Strategy
We partner with Pisgah Health Foundation to secure funding that will sustain our efforts, working to ensure lean but effective operations during downtime and scalable support during a crisis.
Preparedness & Planning
We are developing protocols to better coordinate with emergency management, clarify communication during crises, and define the handoff from immediate response to long-term recovery.
Keeping yourself as safe as possible during a disaster puts less risk on first responders.
